Muskegon County has always been my home, where I  am a wife and mother of 3 wonderful adult children, and 3 of the most beautiful grandchildren.   

I attended Muskegon Community College and Baker College, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. I received minors in Accounting and Secretarial.

I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and have enjoyed partnering with small businesses to address their accounting and software needs for 30+ years. I enjoy working with and helping small businesses grow.  

I have primarily worked for public accounting firms until recently, when I opened my own bookkeeping business, Balanced Books by Lori.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking trips to Mackinac Island, and volunteering as the treasurer of the Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce.
